Denver Nuggets big man Jeff Green will be out upon spraining his left finger and fracturing his left hand, the team announced Saturday. He will be re-evaluated after four weeks.

Per Nuggets release, Green sustained both injuries during the fourth quarter of their 120-107 eventual win over the Portland Trail Blazers last Friday.

This season, Green is averaging 7.5 points while shooting efficiently with a 52.7 efficiency mark to go with 2.8 boards and 1.1 assists in 24 games he played.

The veteran serves as one of the significant and admired locker room leaders of Denver given his rich experience and that coveted leadership he brings. He is on his second year with the team after exercising his $4.5 million player option of his two-year deal last offseason.

With Green out, young big man Zeke Nnjaji is expected to gain added minutes, with Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. set to continue leading the frontcourt helm.
