Bojan Bogdanovic is having the best year of his career. The 33-year-old small forward, who was traded to the Pistons by the Jazz this past offseason, is averaging 21.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31.1 minutes per game.

Detroit’s head coach Dwane Casey thinks that the Croatian deserves to become an All-Star this year. He likened Bogdanovic to some of the great players that he has coached before.

“I hope people don’t look at our record as a rebuilding team and punish him,” Casey said, per Mike Curtis. “To me, Bogey’s an All-Star. I’ve coached a lot of offensive players in my career — Nowitzki, DeRozan, Kevin Garnett. Offensively, he’s right up there with those guys.”
