Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups applauded Trendon Watford’s superb effort last night vs. the Utah Jazz (9 points/14 rebounds/1 assist/1 block/4-8 FG/1-2 FT in a 116-111 road win).

(via Portland Trail Blazers):

“Trendon is such a good basketball player, man. I put him in there sometimes at the 3, the 4, the 5. I make him initiate some offense sometimes. I’m asking a lot of Trendon. I really am. But he can handle it. He has a really good feel for the game. He’s one of those glue guys that most good teams have. He’s one of those guys for us. He had some tough, tough gritty rebounds. He had some tough defensive matchups and assignments in this game today as well. He’s just a really good player, man.”
