The Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, who scored a season-high 36 points, was interviewed following Boston’s 130-121 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday night.

The Celtics won their third straight game and did so without superstar MVP candidate Jayson Tatum. Bradley Beal led Washington with 30 points.

“I enjoyed just playing basketball,” Jaylen Brown said. ”It’s what the season is about. There’s going to be guys in, guys out. We’ve got to be able to maintain our level of play when our big dog is not in the rotation. It was fun. It challenges everybody to step up in their roles.”

On fellow teammate Marcus Smart and his support, Brown said, “That’s my brother and I appreciate him trying to make me the best version of myself.”
