After all the unfortunate occurrences that happened following their 2020 title year, Kyle Kuzma firmly believes that they should have won another one in the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 2019-2020 season gave every L.A. fan something to cheer on by having both LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the first time. Prior to the league’s resumption within the Disney Bubble, the club has been showcasing championship pedigree with their defense-first approach and amazing blend of veterans and youth power behind the leadership of Frank Vogel.

As they eventually won the title that season, the Lakers shipped some of their aging players and added up promising role cagers as replacements in the likes of Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol, and Wes Matthews for the 2020-2021 campaign. Unfortunately, injury bugs have bitten them, as they failed to defend their crown as a seventh-seed playoff team in the hands of the Phoenix Suns.

Since then, situations started to crumble for the club. Despite trading for Russell Westbrook prior to last season, chemistry and injuries remained focal concerns. The Lakers ultimately became a major disappointment as they weren’t able to reach the playoff stage back in the 2021-22 season.

With how things are going in this current season, Los Angeles can only hope that they can slowly revive their championship status.
