The Mavericks suffered an unlikely loss against the Magic (87-94) at Amway Center. The visitors struggled to score points in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter in which Dallas was limited to just 13 points.

Spencer Dinwiddie (29 points) and Luka Doncic (24 points) were the top scorers for the Mavs. The Magic won despite missing their rookie sensation Paolo Banchero.

After the game Doncic said that his team needs to take games likes way more seriously. “We got to play better as a team, especially against those kind of teams,” the Slovenian superstar said, per Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News.

“We always say it before a game, but then we don’t do it. It’s a game that later we’re going to regret. They were good defensively today, but we’ve got to be way better.”

With this loss Dallas dropped to 6-4, while Orlando improved to 3-9. The two teams will not meet again this season.
