Right after it was announced that the Nets fired their head coach Steve Nash rumors appeared suggesting that the suspended Celtics head coach Ime Udoka is the favorite to replace him.
According to Brooklyn’s general manager Sean Marks, that is not the case. He “absolutely not” when addressing this question, per Brian Lewis of New York Post.
Udoka, who led Boston to the Finals in his head coaching debut season last year, is familiar with the Nets having worked as the team’s assistant coach during the 2020-2021 season.
