Steve Nash became the first head coach to be fired this season. He coached Brooklyn for two years. The team started this season poorly winning just twice in seven games, despite high preseason expectations.
Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau reacted to the news by complimenting Nash. “I just heard about that. Sorry to hear that,” he said. “Number one, he’s a great guy, I think he’s a heck of a coach. It’s the unfortunate part of this business.”
