Even Magic Johnson didn’t escape the flowing anxiety and doubts regarding the slow performance of his beloved Los Angeles Lakers.

Posting on Twitter this Thursday, the all-time great point man delivered his personal concerns about the Lakers’ 0-4 record and unpleasant shooting display so far.

The start of the 2022-23 season doesn’t go well as planned so for the franchise, considering the fact that their shooting marks stand horrifying as it is. Per ESPN’s Stats & Info, they only drained 33 shots out of their 148 attempts from distance this campaign. Their 22.3 percent efficiency lands the worst over any four-game span by any team within a season in NBA history (in a minimum of 125 three-point field goal attempts).

The Lakers failed to crack above the 25 percent mark from distance for their first three games until they were able to breach it on their Wednesday loss against the Denver Nuggets. They shot 8-for-30 from the field (26.7 percent), but it remains inferior and not worth celebrating in plain hindsight.

Added to their forgettable shooting is the fact that they’re still winless from the start of the calendar year. This serves as a huge blow for LeBron James, as he only experienced this 0 – 4 beginning for the first time since his rookie year with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003-04 season.

It remains yet to be seen on how the Lakers will make an effort to alleviate their current woes. With plenty of games, draft-pick assets, and time remaining on their side, they can still do preparations for what lies ahead.
