Russell Westbrook has been at the center of criticism by sports analysts for the way he started the season. Even his former teammate Kendrick Perkins called out his stubbornness and warned that the former NBA MVP could be out the league if he does not change his attitude.

Perkins saw the only solution for the Lakers – to send the 33-year-old point guard home – because, according to him, his presence is cancerous to the team.

Sports analyst Chris Broussard thinks that it is too early to sit out Westbrook. He thinks that it should be done only if either the player asks for it himself, or if he does react badly to coming off the bench or not being on the court in crucial minutes.

Despite all the struggles offensively, Broussard pointed at the fact that the Lakers are the 3rd ranked defensive team in the league and a lot of it is Russ is playing with energy.
