Sacramento Kings standout rookie Keegan Murray has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento detailed on Saturday.

Murray has missed the previous two preseason games of the Kings due to a non-COVID illness.

The former Iowa phenom had a solid Summer League outing last offseason wherein he clinched its MVP honors. Following the tourney, he underwent a successful wrist surgery which healed well prior to the team’s training camp.

As such, his status stands unknown as Sacramento are preparing to open up their 2022-23 season in a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.
