If Jordan Poole is to sign an extension with the Warriors before the start of the season, it should be done within this week. The players himself is optimistic that an agreement will be reached.

Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr was asked about Poole’s contract situation, but he did not give a clear answer on whether the 23-year-old shooting guard will be offered an extension. However, he expressed support to Poole for his hard work and was hopeful that a deal would be reached.

“We’ll see whether something gets done or not, but I’m thrilled for him,” Kerr said, per Jack Winter of ClutchPoints. “You always root for the guys who put the work in, and he’s put as much work in over the last few years as anybody…We hope something gets done.”

Last season Poole averaged career-high 18.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4 assists in 30 minutes per game for the Dubs.
