De’Aaron Fox is determined to remain in the Sacramento Kings and defeat the towering odds.

When asked if he considered to ask for a trade in today’s “player empowerment era,” Fox shrugged off and insists that the said idea didn’t cross in his mind.

“I’ve never really considered requesting a trade or anything, even through the really bad (times) that we’ve had here,” Fox told Jason Anderson of Sacramento Bee. “For me, if they wanted a change and I was traded, then that’s the way the business works. Guys who get paid more than me have been traded. Guys who don’t make a lot of money have been traded as well, so just knowing that you could be traded at any second anyway, I’m not really thinking about that, but I want to win.

“I want to win here and I’ve said that many times, but I think now we have the team to do that. I think this is the most talented team that I’ve been a part of since I’ve been in the NBA. Probably not even close.”

Fox has been in Sacramento since 2017 and he is yet to taste a postseason appearance in his whole career. But as what he already claimed, he is truly confident that the ball club will finally snap that 16-year drought with him leading in front.

After establishing 23.2 points, 5.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game last season, there is no doubt that he possesses All-star capabilities as a combo guard. On paper, he has a great supporting cast this season with Domantas Sabonis, Harrison Barnes, Keegan Murray and Kevin Huerter to finally reach a much greater success collectively.

He is under contract with the Kings until the 2025-26 season, and the Sac-town fans can only hope that there will be grester heights already at that time.
