Apparently, Draymond Green stands regretful on his recent standoff with Jordan Poole.

Per Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Green is apologetic on the aftermath of the incident, wherein he had a heated altercation and fight with Poole during the team’s practice on Wednesday.

As earlier reported by Marcus Thompson II, Anthony Slater, Shams Charania of The Athletic, the two went “chest-to-chest” and was needed to be separated swiftly after a verbal tangle. Green threw a punch against Poole, but the latter wasn’t hurt and still finished the session before leaving the facility floor (h/t ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski).

The Warriors are currently reviewing the incident, but there is a possibility that the veteran forward will be slapped by a suspension upon escalating the issue.

In light of Green’s regret on the incident, Haynes added that there is a buildup coming from the Dubs teammates that there is a changing behavior in Poole’s side, wherein he is on the cusp of inking a lucrative rookie extension.

Both Green and Poole are eligible for an extension before the Oct. 17 deadline. As such, it remains uncertain on how the Warriors will extend their partnership with the two given their salary cap enlargement and top spending.
