The time might be short as it is, but Lonzo Ball treasures the playing moment he had with LeBron James.

Ball didn’t hide his appreciation of having that opportunity to play and learn from his childhood idol, noting Jill Painter-Lopez of KCBS that “he’ll never take it for granted.”

“He was my favorite player growing up so being able to share the court with him and learn from him was a time in my life I’ll never get back, I’ll never take for granted.”

Ball entered the NBA field in 2017 with bright lights directed to him as a standout talent from UCLA. And when LeBron finally took his talents to the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2018 offseason, he was surely delighted of the moment of a lifetime to share the court with one of the game’s greatest.

Both of them played in only the 2018-2019 season, as Ball was shipped to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the blockbuster Anthony Davis trade. Though it is already slated that he won’t reach the sky high projection that was customized for him in his younger years, he still developed his game and now a solid point man for the Chicago Bulls.
