Even though LeBron James has not signed a contract extension with the Lakers yet, there is little doubt that the four-time NBA champion will reach an agreement with the team.

Entering the final year of his current contract, James has three main options. He can: 1) wait for the contract to expire and become a free agent next summer, 2) sign a two-year extension, 3) sign a 1+1 extension.

According to Kurt Helin Of NBC Sports, the prevailing expectation is that LeBron will use the third option. That way he would give himself an option to leave the Lakers in 2024 and join his son Bronny if he enters the NBA as expected.
