Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Malik Monk had another big game coming off the bench. The 23-year-old shooting guard made 6 three-pointers on the way to 22 points.

Despite starting the game on the bench, he played 33 minutes and had the highest plus/minus on the team with +33.

After the game, Monk was asked how he is able to find his rhythm on the Lakers. “Russ is making it a little easier for me. He’s drawing a lot of attention when he goes to the basket. Dwight draws a lot of attention too. AD does too.

“I was just able to make the right reads. They give me a lot of open shots. That’s what I do – knock open shots down.”

This season, Monk is averaging 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24.3 minutes per game for the Lakers.
