Keon Ellis is one of the players that the Lakers are taking a closer look at ahead of this year’s NBA Draft. The 22-year-old shooting guard out of Alabama worked out for the team hoping to impress.

He can’t get drafted by the Lakers because they have no draft picks this year. But if he goes undrafted, he could be signed by the team. Alex Caruso and Austin Reaves are to success stories of players making it to the NBA that way.

“I think it’s a great place to develop,” Ellis said about the Lakers. “It’s kind of easy if you land on a team like this. You have kind of veteran guys as they have a lot of knowledge on the team. And then you obviously have the staff and everyone working with you to kind of help you along.

“So, I definitely think it’s a great place [to develop] because, like I said, the leadership they have and just the guys who’ve been around the league a long time.”
