According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Lakers interviewed former Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts for the franchise’s head coaching job in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Two more assistants – the Golden State Warriors’ Kenny Atkinson and Milwaukee Bucks’ Darvin Ham – will meet with the Lakers in near future.

Terry Stotts coached the Portland Trail Blazers for nine seasons, reaching the playoffs eight times, and guided the Blazers to the 2018-19 Western Conference finals.

The Los Angeles Lakers fired head coach Frank Vogel, who compiled a 127-98 regular season and 18-9 postseason record with the team, after the franchise missed out on the NBA playoffs this season.
