Donovan Mitchell is the latest victim of this playoff’s injury horrors.

Per Tim MacMahon of ESPN, the Utah Jazz star sustained a left hamstring injury and is set to take an MRI on Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

Mitchell was limping in pain after a late quarter drive through the cut in Game 5 of the Jazz’ first round series against the Dallas Mavericks. He was then ruled out of the match, finishing with an abysmal statistics of nine points (4/15 shooting), two boards, four turnovers and game-worst -38 plus/minus.

Behind the heroics of Luka Doncic and their mid-game blaze off, the Mavericks now hold a 3-2 upperhand via 102-77 Monday demolition. They are only one game away from reaching the second round of the postseason for the first time since their 2011 title run.

Meanwhile, the Jazz now hold their collective breathing on Mitchell’s availability and for their season to stay alive.
