Joel Embiid was very close to tying the game between the 76ers and Bucks and forcing an overtime. He grabbed a rebound under the basket after James Harden missed a three-pointer with Philadelphia being down by two points.

The Cameroonian center instantly jumped to take a shot as the time was about to run out but his shot was blocked by Giannis Antetokounmpo. First a goaltending was called by the officials which would have tied the game at 118.

However, the decision was overruled and play was called as a clean block by the Milwaukee’s superstar. After the game Embiid admitted that it was a close call.

“I thought it was close [between a clean block and a goaltend],” he said, per Gina Mizell. “I probably should have gone up harder, but in that situation, I didn’t know how much time was left. So I was just trying to get the ball off or quickly up.”
