Real Madrid defeated Seville 87-81 to remain top of the Liga Endesa. Unicaja Malaga are still close on their heels though after they got back to winning ways after a surprise loss last week. 

League leaders Real beat a stubborn Seville side 87-81 in the Spanish capital as Felipe Reyes’ 20 points was enough to get them over the line. 

Carlos Suarez grabbed the all-important defensive rebound plus the game-winning free throws, off a missed three-point attempt from Kresimir Loncar to hand Unicaja an 89-85 success over Valencia. 

In a thrilling back-and-forth encounter, Malaga kept up with the pace at the top despite numerous scares from the reigning Eurocup champions. 

Jayson Granger had 22 points to lead the winners, cancelling out Sam Van Rossom’s impressive haul of 21 for Valencia.

Barcelona and Bilbao have a bit of breathing space from Joventut Badalona as the two teams recorded home wins, while Badalona slipped to a crushing defeat at Laboral Kutxa. 

Barca edged Fuenlabrada 88-82 at home with Justin Doellman once again showing signs of his scoring form when he was at Valencia. The American amassed 19 points to lead the winners. 

Bilbao enjoyed a comfortable 90-74 win over Gran Canaria as Raul Lopez led the way with 18 points. 

The biggest result of the round came from Santiago as Rio Monbus thumped UCAM Murcia 104-52, thanks in part to a 31-8 third quarter as the hosts ran riot. 

Adam Waczynski led the way with 25 points, including five triples as Rio Monbus remain in mid-table, one win behind Murcia. 

Elsewhere around the league, Andorra secured a much needed 73-58 home win over Tenerife, Gipuzkoa kept Bruixa d’Or bottom of the pile with a 79-64 road win and Estudiantes grabbed a vital 66-61 win over Zaragoza.
