Russell Westbrook may be coming to a point of his career where he could struggle to remain in the NBA after his current contract expires, says analyst Jason McIntyre.

He likens the 33-year-old point guard’s situation to that of Allen Iverson who refused to be a bench player and changed four teams in four years before his final season in the league at age of 34.

“Once Russell Westbrook’s contract is over, I would venture to say I don’t know that he’s still got a spot in the NBA. This feels like the end of Allen Iverson,” McIntyre said on UNDISPUTED.

This season Westbrook is averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 34.5 minutes per game for the Lakers.
