LeBron James returned to action after a five-game absence with a big performance against the Kings. The 37-year-old superstar scored 29 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished 10 assists, helping the Lakers take the win.

After the game Lakers head coach Frank Vogel praised James for his performance stressing the impact that he has on the team. “He’s incredible,” Vogel said about James. “I guess the time off served him well. We didn’t want to play him 39 minutes and obviously overtime impacted that. Just played a great basketball game.

“His defensive competitive spirit and IQ is everything to us. The way he scores the basketball in all ways and he sets up teammates. It’s rare and he was was special tonight. Just a great performance.”

This season James is averaging 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game for Los Angeles. With 26 wins and 28 losses the Lakers are ninth in the Western Conference.
