The Miami Heat have been having a successful season so far even though their leader Jimmy Butler missed 19 games due to injuries. It turns out his teammates are not afraid to tell the 32-year-old small forward that they can win without his help.

“Seems like whenever I text one of my teammates they would always say something like ‘we don’t need you’…’we’re winning without you’…especially Dewayne Dedmon…he’s an honest guy,” Butler said, per Brendan Tobin.

With 29 wins and 16 defeats Miami is currently sitting atop the Southeast Division and occupies the second place in the Eastern Conference.

This season Butler is averaging 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 33.9 minutes per game for the Heat.
