Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly ready to give some more time to Paul George in order to monitor the situation regarding his torn UCL in his right elbow.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Clippers would like to see if the injury will improve with rest. That means that George will remain out for at least few weeks more.

George’s injury was originally announced on Dec. 25, and he was to be reevaluated in 3-4 weeks. He initially sprained his elbow on Dec. 6 and missed five consecutive games. He rehabbed his elbow during that time and returned on Dec. 20.

Several reports suggested the LA Clippers could shut down their All-Star for the season considering they are also missing Kawhi Leonard, who recovers from a partially torn ACL, and has yet to make an appearance this season.

George is averaging 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, a career-high 5.5 assists and two steals a game, experiencing his best year as a member of the LA Clippers.

The Clippers sit eighth in the West with a 22-23 record, with just 1 1/2 games separating them and the No. 6 Denver Nuggets. Not having George available seems to be a significant blow for the Clippers.

Since George has been sidelined, they recorded just five wins in eight games. In case they want to remain in the hunt of a place in the postseason, they need George to make a speedy recovery.
