France should receive a boost for their EuroBasket 2015 campaign after Tony Parker stated that he will play for his country this year.

Parker is now fully concentrated on his season with the San Antonio Spurs but as soon as finishes he’ll focus on the national team.

Parker helped France defeat Lithuania in a final game to win gold in EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia which was the first continental title for the French.

He missed the inaugural FIBA World Cup in Spain last year though even without Parker France still managed to take bronze, again downing Lithuania in the last game.

EuroBasket 2013 winners are hosting one the tournament’s group stage group as well as the whole final stage.

The reigning champions will be the top favourites coming off two successful tournaments and playing in front of their fans.

France was drawn in Group A alongside Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Poland and Israel.
