Memphis Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks is set to miss significant time due to the left ankle sprain he sustained against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

As noted by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Canadian swingman will be sidelined for about three to five weeks and might be out through the mid-February All-Star break this season.

The 25-year-old Brooks is enjoying career-high averages this 2021-22 season, tallying 18.4 points, 3.3 boards, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 42 percent from the field in 28 minutes of play. His steady marksmanship and lockdown wing defense are two of the factors that propelled Memphis’ emergence this season.

Brooks’ Grizzlies are rolling with an eight-game winning skid and a 27-14 record, enough for the 4th seed currently in the Western Conference.
