Jamal Murray hasn’t made his season debut with the Denver Nuggets and it is unclear when he will be ready to do so.

Murray is recovering from a torn ACL, a left knee injury he suffered last April. According to Denver head coach Mike Malone, the young superstar will come back ‘when he is ready’.

“Jamal Murray, honestly, will come back when he is ready. And you make a valid point, like, ‘Hey, if we’re in the mix, you know, maybe that makes it that much more attractive for Jamal to try and play this year.’

If we’re not in the mix, you know, does it make sense to risk anything or do you just use the extra time this offseason to get back for next season?” Malone told reporters, via The Athletic.

With the Nuggets being a legit playoff and title contender for another season, it makes sense for Jamal Murray to make his return before the playoffs. Denver is currently fifth in the West, at 17-16.
