The Brooklyn Nets are open for discussion in handing their sharpshooter, Joe Harris.

As detailed by Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report on Tuesday, the Nets are shockingly determined to offer Harris as a possible asset to acquire stronger pieces amid the Kyrie Irving whispers. Still, it has been widely believed that the shooting guard must generate a quality return based on the viewpoint of Brooklyn management.

“Brooklyn has been open to discussing trades for Irving, sources told B/R, although none of those calls have seemed to generate significant traction. But Brooklyn has expressed a surprising willingness to discuss sharpshooter Joe Harris, according to league sources, though he would surely require a pricey offer.”

Harris is a reliable scoring spark when streaky whose shooting ability is widely touted as one of the best in the league – fortified by superstar teammate Kevin Durant’s claim that he is on the level of phenomenal backcourt shooting machines, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. As teams try to look for more offensive firepower going deep into this season, he is an ideal candidate to be named on the wish list before the February trade deadline.

The 30-year-old veteran, who is currently shelved due to a left ankle injury, is averaging 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds in 45 percent shooting. While the Nets are committed to molding the best model it can gain inspired by their title aspirations, it remains faithful to Harris’ contributions and trustworthiness to take the backup scoring option behind Durant and James Harden especially when it finally comes back after the setback.
