Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a notice penned down by Ujiri, he acquired the disease when he attended the first in-person event of the Giants of Africa since 2019. He also said that he is fully vaccinated and has already received a booster shot and is now taking a quarantine.

Earlier on Thursday, the Raptors canceled their team practice out of “an abundance of caution” and also based on the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

The Raptors haven’t had any complications about COVID since the start of the season until Masai Ujiri tested positive.
