Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers revealed that he tested negative for COVID-19.
In an Instagram live on Thursday, the veteran told his viewers that it was the first time he hasn’t received a positive result since having a quarantine at his home residence in Orlando.
He also stated that he could finally suit up for Denver sooner and he is starting to do conditioning for a return to the hardwood. In the meantime, he remains out and unavailable for his team’s game time against the San Antonio Spurs.
Rivers, 29, entered the league’s health and safety protocols together with first-year man Bones Hyland last week. He is having sluggish progress this season, recording 3.9 points in 34.6 percent shooting efficiency from the field.
