The Los Angeles Lakers managed to erase a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game against the Detroit Pistons, despite losing their leader, LeBron James, who received a flagrant foul for elbowing Isaiah Stewart.

Seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry liked what he saw from the winners. “A championship quality team,” he said when asked by Allie Clifton what it showed that the Lakers managed to come back and win the game.

“And that’s what we’ve been waiting for. We’ve been looking for a sign all season. Even though they’re like 18 games in, we expected a lot from this team because when they came out and said ‘Hey, this is what we are, we put this team together to be a championship quality.’ … Even Vegas had them as one of the top teams to win it all.

“And for me they go in spurts up and down, sometimes they look great, they have problems in third quarter, fourth quarter, I’ll just say second half. They have always have problems in the second half. But they came out, they played great, they played very good and got a win in a hostile environment.”
