Sacramento Kings have decided to part ways with head coach Luke Walton, after just 17 games in the season.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Kings will move on from Walton, following the poor start to the season. Sacramento is at 6-11 and has lost seven of its last eight games.

Walton spent almost two and a half years with the Kings, but failed to lead the team to postseason. The Kings haven’t made the playoffs since 2006. Sacramento associate head coach, Alvin Gentry, will take over as interim coach, Wojnarowski reports.
