Kent Bazemore has played 13 game for the Los Angeles Lakers so far this season, starting on all occasions. Last night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs was the first time when the Lakers newcomer was on the bench the whole time.
After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked why he decided to not play Bazemore against the Spurs. “Really Talen [Horton-Tucker],” he said.
“We want to Talen get back in there. Baze’s going to be a big part of what we do. Malik [Monk] and Wayne [Ellington] have been playing really well off the bench. Baze is still going to be a big part of what we do but Talen coming back to the lineup was the factor there.”
Bazemore is averaging 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1 assists in 24.3 minutes per game this season.
