Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone delivered an unfortunate update on Michael Porter Jr.’s back injury status prior to the game vs. the Blazers.

The four-year forward will be out for the “foreseeable future”, according to Malone, as reported by Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.

Although Denver has done well without Porter, getting him to be healthy again and back to his form from last season will be huge for the team. The Nuggets are already missing Jamal Murray.

This season, Porter hasn’t lived up to his expectations after signing a max contract with the franchise this past summer. In nine games, he has only averaged 9.9 points on 35.9 percent shooting from the field and 20.8 percent from beyond the arc.
