With LeBron James out of action for the foreseeable future, Anthony Davis is expected to take the leadership of the team and help the Los Angeles Lakers win games.

After the win over the Charlotte Hornets, the 28-year-old forward was asked if leadership came naturally to him or if he had to get used to it.

“I had to grow into it for sure,” Davis said. “But I’ve been comfortable with past three, four or five years. It first happened when I was in New Orleans with [Rajon Rondo]. He is the first one to kind of like ‘Okay, this is the time where you lead us’ to wins, to the playoffs or whatever.

“I don’t have to do it as much because LeBron does what he does so I try to lead in other ways. Now he’s out we lose his voice and now it’s my time to fill that in.”
