Joel Embiid will not be available for the Philadelphia 76ers for several games after becoming the fourth Sixers’ player to enter NBA’s COVID-19 protocols, per Shams Charania of the Athletic.

The All-Star center was going to be out for Monday night’s game against the Knicks for a planned rest. It appears now he’ll miss even more time.

Ben Simmons (personal reasons) remains out. As do Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle and Isaiah Joe while in the league’s health and safety protocols.

Embiid is coming off his best nights as he exploded for 30 points vs. the Bulls on Saturday. The Sixers have a three-game homestand starting Monday, but they play three quality opponents in New York, Milwaukee and then Toronto.
