The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back from a surprising loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder by defeating the Houston Rockets. According to Lakers great James Worthy, the team is starting to play the way it is supposed to be playing and did not want to repeat the OKC game.

“I think they definitely remembered the OKC game and didn’t want that to happen again. But I think overall from the beginning I think they’re starting to connect defensively and to know what their number one priority is is on the defensive end,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet.

“Carmelo.. he plays well at home, doesn’t he? Shooting the ball wall, getting in the right spots, understanding where he’s supposed to be.

“They’re starting to play like they are supposed to be playing. I know the Rockets aren’t one of the elite teams. But [the Lakers] need to practice against anybody other than themselves. I think that hopefully they’re shaping up on that end.”
