Austin Reaves was picked up by the Los Angeles Lakers as an undrafted player this past offseason and so far he is proving to be a good choice.

The 23-year-old shooting guard appeared twice for the Lakers this season averaging 6 points and 1.5 assists in 15 minutes of play. According to seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, Reaves knows how to play basketball, just like Alex Caruso who joined the Chicago Bulls in summer.

“When I look at Austin Reaves play, he reminds a guy who just knows how to play the game like [Alex] Caruso,” Horry said on Spectrum SportsNet. “It was one shining moment. I remember Phil Jackson used to tell me ‘What did you do today to step up and make me recognize you?’

“Austin Reaves did a pass with his left hand down the gut to Dwight Howard that led to the basket. That was a frozen roll pass, sharp pass and nice. A lot of guys they can’t even do that with left hand. But him shooting that ball straight to him was amazing. That play let me know that guy knows how to play basketball.”
