NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo confirmed his vaccination status, as the Milwaukee Bucks will start their training camp this week.

Antetokounmpo said he is vaccinated and explained that he took that decision to protect himself and his family.

“I did what’s best for me and my family to stay protected. I’m vaccinated. It was the best decision for me to be safe. I am not a doctor and I don’t know what may happen down the road. But I have kids. I know right now that it’s going to keep my family safe,” Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters during the Bucks’ Media Day.

Being vaccinated has been an issue for the NBA lately, with star players, like Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins, saying they have no intention to get the vaccine.
