Just before the start of the season, Maccabi Tel Aviv saw Ante Zizic going down with a torn hamstring and is expected to be out for six weeks.

Zizic suffered the injury during the Israeli League Cup quarter-finals on September 22. Zizic joined Maccabi after spending three years in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He also played for Cibona and Darussafaka during the first four years of his career. Last season, he averaged 10.8 points and six rebounds over 64 games in EuroLeague and the Israeli League.

According to the latest reports, Maccabi is looking to add a player for a temporary two-month contract, and Alex Tyus has been offered to the club, per Roi Cohen.

Tyus spent last season with Liga Endesa giants Real Madrid, averaging 3.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 20 EuroLeague games.
