Philadelphia 76ers are one week away from the official start of the season, as the team will kick off the year with the 2021-22 media day.

The Sixers are still in search of a trade package for Ben Simmons, who reportedly won’t report to the team’s training camp. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, this will be the case for the three-time All-Star.

Stein also reported that Philadelphia ‘remain intent on trying to convince Simmons to report’. Several teams expressed interest in the versatile guard/forward, however, the Sixers are holding firm on their demands.

Simmons, who had a disappointing finish to the season last year, is not willing to salvage his value, after shooting just 34 percent from the free-throw line during the last postseason.

The Ben Simmons saga is far from over, as the 76ers and the All-Star guard seem to be on the complete opposite side regarding their demands.
