Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to sign former FC Barcelona forward Leandro Bolmaro to a rookie contract, per T-Wolves’ beat writer Dane Moore.

Minnesota selected Bolmaro with the 23rd pick last offseason, and the Argentinian swingman spent this past offseason with EuroLeague finalists FC Barcelona.

The 21-year-old guard won a Liga ACB championship and a Spanish Cup title with the team in 2021. He averaged 6.4 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 33 Liga Endesa appearances.

The promising forward will sign his contract this week, and he will earn about $2.35M as a rookie and $11.8M over four years.

The Timberwolves also reached an agreement with restricted free agents Jarred Vanderbilt and Jordan McLaughlin last week to complete their roster for the 2021-22 season.
