Hall of Famer Chris Webber admitted that Joel Embiid is the player who resembles him the most in the modern NBA. Embiid is considered one of the best players in the NBA, being the runner-up in MVP voting last season.

Webber, who was inducted to the Hall of Fame recently, sat down with The Athletic and The Stadium’s Shams Charania and claimed the superstar center resembles him of himself.

“Maybe Joel Embiid because he’s one of the few that can post up, take you off the dribble and shoot the 3. So, his game. But besides that, it’s really hard to find someone that really dominates in the midrange as a big fella. It’s a little tough to see at times, but maybe Embiid is the closest,” Webber stated.

Embiid is considered one of the most well-rounded players in the league, especially since last season, when he had a career year with the Sixers, leading the team to the top of the East.

Webber was mostly an offensive juggernaut during his heyday with the Sacramento Kings, leading his team to the Western Conference Finals in 2002.
