According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to trade big man Marc Gasol, a 2024 second-round pick, and cash to the Memphis Grizzlies for the draft rights to center Wang Zhelin. The deal saves the Lakers $10 million. Gasol and the Grizzlies will work together on waiver and release to allow him to remain in Spain with his family. The 36-year-old veteran averaged 5.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 52 appearances while shooting 45.4% from the field and 41.0% from behind the arc last season.
