A recently published ranking of the Top 22 NBA point guards put Russell Westbrook at 10th place just behind Ben Simmons. The new Los Angeles Lakers playmaker led the league in assists last season but ranked behind nine other players.
According to sports analyst Skip Bayless, the ranking is correct as far distribution is concerned. He agrees that Simmons is a more natural playmaker than Westbrook.
“I buy this ranking, I would take Ben Simmons as my distributor over Russell Westbrook just in initiating my offense. Ben Simmons has a better feel for playing basketball than Russ does,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.
