Bayern Munich announced the signing of versatile big man Augustine Rubit on Tuesday. The 32-year-old forward/center will return to the German BBL after spending the last two seasons with Zalgiris Kaunas and Olympiacos.
Rubit played in Kaunas this past season, averaging 8.1 points on 52 percent shooting in 31 EuroLeague games. He has 87 total EuroLeague games under his belt, with averages of 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Rubit spent the first five years of his career in Germany, coming out of the South Alabama University. He played for Tubingen, Ulm and Brose Bamberg, where he had his first experience in the EuroLeague and won the German Cup (2019).
He then signed with Greek powerhouse Olympiacos for one season, before joining Zalgiris Kaunas for the 2020-21 season.
