The Dallas Mavericks are hiring two-time WNBA champion Kristi Toliver as an assistant coach, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Toliver, a three-time WNBA All-Star, is currently playing for the Los Angeles Sparks and averaging 9.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 15 games.

This won’t be her first time in the NBA, as the 34-year-old spent parts of two seasons on the Washington Wizards coaching staff in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

It’s unknown if this hiring completes the Mavericks coaching staff under new head coach Jason Kidd or if there will be one more addition, notes Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.
