Kevin Durant led the way once again for Team USA, helping his team defeat France in the Final of the Olympic Tournament (87-82) and win the gold medal.

Durant went for a game-high 29 points, as the Americans survived a late comeback of France to seal the deal and claim their fourth straight gold medal.

Team USA took control from the second quarter onwards and led by as many as 14 points in the contest (71-57). A 13-2 run let France cut the deficit to three (73-70), but the Americans brought their lead back to 10 with three straight three-pointers (82-72).

France came as close as three points once again (85-82), but Durant hit a pair of free throws and ensured Team USA will earn the first place in the Olympic Tournament.

On the other hand, this was the first medal for France since the 2000 Olympic Games.
